There are two ways of doing this, depending on whether the infographic is created in-house by a member of the design team or if it is to be outsourced to a design agency. The steps that differ depending on external and internal are distinguished where required.
Step 1 of the process
It is agreed with a client (in the weekly/ monthly call in the previous quarter) that the next quarterly offer will be an infographic surrounding a topic that's popular in their industry and something their buyer personas would find useful/ interesting.
Discuss which team will do the resource for the infographic statistics and market research. There may be enough within current content to use and repurpose to compile into an infographic.
If the client would prefer to compile the information themselves to save points, this will be accounted for in the assignment of points and hours put forward in Teamwork.
Sourcing of images and number of edits should also be agreed at this stage.
Step 2a of the process
The strategist will assign the points required for this to be done by an in-house internal design resource. The task will then be placed into Teamwork for the Marketing Lead to complete in month one of the next quarter.
Step 2b of the process
The strategist will assign the amount of points required for this to be done externally. Marketing lead will speak to external design resource to receive a quote for the design of the infographic, before speaking to a member of the senior team for sign off and so they can add the external work into the Upsell & Outsource spreadsheet.
Step 3 of the process
The Marketing lead/Content team will research the infographic topic regarding industry statistics, trends, and future trends, surprising statistics which are within the culture of the client’s brand, and surrounding the infographic topic, as well as researching keywords to boost SEO.
Step 4 of the process
The Marketing lead takes the information back to the client, going through the brief and checking they are happy with the information that has been compiled to then put it into the infographic design. (If the client signs off, move to step 5. If not return to step 3 with their feedback.)
Step 5a of the process
Present the brief and compiled information/statistics to the in-house design resource and ensure they log their time in Teamwork to keep track of the points used. Discuss the completion timeline and feedback to the client to set expectations. Review estimated time required to complete the project originally provided in step 2a.
Step 5b of the process
Present the brief and compiled information/statistics to the external design resource. Discuss the timeline of completion before feeding back to the client to set expectations. Review the estimate originally provided in step 2b.
Step 6 of the process
After receiving the initial draft from the design team (internal/ external) review the first draft and send any amends back to them to finalise a version to send to the client.
Step 7a of the process
After confirming an initial “client-ready” draft, send to the client and ask for sign off.
Step 7b of the process
If the client replies with amends, forward these on to the design team (internal/ external) and return to step 6.
Step 8a of the process
When the client has signed off the infographic, feed this back to the internal design team to get them to close the task in Teamwork.
Step 8b of the process
When the client has signed off the infographic feed this back to the external design team for them to sign off on their side and then invoice BabelQuest (as originally set up by a member of the senior team in step 2b in the Upsell & Outsource sheet.)
Step 9 of the process
Upload the infographic into client’s HubSpot portal. Marketing> Files & Templates> Files> Upload Files Button
Step 10 of the process
Create the LP, TYP, CTAs, forms, follow-up email, list for the offer. The process sheet for that is here.
