Say Hello to: Rachel Johnson

Written by Rachel Johnson | May 20 2022

Hello! I’m Rachel and I’m very excited to have taken on the role of Principal Marketer at Babelquest.

My role as Principal Marketer is to lead and develop the Inbound Marketing team to ensure we are consistently giving an ELITE service to our clients and continually improving our internal processes, digital knowledge and capabilities.

I’ve worked in marketing for over 17 years and 16 of those have been spent in digital & ecommerce. My experience includes in-house management of all things digital in radio and automotive, before I moved over to agency side, where I supported and managed accounts for a wide range of businesses in both the consumer and B2B markets. Ultimately, I am passionate about helping companies and marketers do GREAT marketing and understanding the best practices of digital. Whilst it’s an ever changing industry, the basic principles remain. Quality, consistency and efficiency pay off in abundance.

What’s the role?

This is a brand new role to Babelquest so there will be opportunity to develop the responsibilities over time. The focus is to lead, shape and build the Marketing team. I’ll be looking to improve and enhance our digital offering to clients and maintain consistency and best practice in all we do.

What am I looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to working with the Babelquest team, and discovering areas we can develop. I’ll enjoy meeting and understanding all the clients we support and exploring the ways in which we can work towards our clients marketing goals. I’m excited to learn more about Hubspot. I’ve used it for many years but I will have the opportunity to understand it’s full powerhouse potential!

Outside of work, I like...

I run a food blog across social media which allows me to test and review local pubs and restaurants and create engaging foodie content! If I’m not eating out with friends then I’ll be cooking up a storm for my 3 kids, husband and/or anyone who is visiting.

When I’m not eating (rarely); I’m out running or at the gym, usually training for the Oxford Half or another local running event. Hybrid working is brilliant, but if I don’t exercise I could easily spend most of the week sitting!

We're hiring! If anything I’ve chatted about here strikes a chord, we'd love to hear from you. Check out our careers page and see if any of our vacancies catch your eye.
