Salesforce vs hubspot

1. How can I import contacts?

Importing contacts is a task every CRM admin will have to do at least once in their life, which is why we recorded this video to walk you through the contact import process, ensuring data accuracy from the start - no matter the CRM.

What the expert thinks...

"Importing your contacts into your CRM is a standard part of a CRM administrators role and is probably something you'll be doing quite regularly - so you want it to be as easy as possible. Both Salesforce and HubSpot's imports are very similar but what really stands out is the visual UI of using HubSpot. The ease with which it flags errors and helps you solve them is a winning feature and something that will genuinely help you in your day-to-day role."

2. How do I keep on top of messy data?

Data, no matter the size of the CRM, can become rife with duplicates, missing properties and incorrect values. Here we show you how to manage that problem in both Salesforce and HubSpot.

What the expert thinks...

"Both platforms clearly have similar data quality features, at a basic level. The key differences here are again the UI - but also the expertise required to set everything up. Most of HubSpot's features are either out-of-the-box or require toggling your desired options on or off, rather than writing complex rules. Anyone on your team can jump in and clean up data issues, even if they're not tech experts. There's no need to spend weeks training people or messing with complex settings. This means faster data clean-up, and quicker decision making."

3. How do I track adoption?

To truly succeed with your CRM, it's all about how well your team embraces it. That's why we created a video showcasing the best ways to track CRM adoption in both Salesforce and HubSpot.

What the expert thinks...

"As far as reporting on user adoption goes, both HubSpot and Salesforce give users the ability to broadly report on the same data. Both treat users as a specific object, which makes reporting fairly straightforward on both platforms. The key difference to call out lays more in the types of users that you'd be reporting on. The native functionality in Salesforce means you'd only really be looking at CRM users, rather than Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud users. But, as everything in HubSpot is connected, if you're using each Hub you have the ability to monitor adoption across sales, marketing, service and beyond."
