How to Trigger Custom Surveys Directly from Workflows

Gather customer feedback at the perfect moment by integrating custom surveys directly into your workflows.

Are you tired of chasing customers for feedback after they've received your product or service? Traditional methods—manual emails and clunky third-party tools—waste precious time and often yield disappointing response rates. Now, there's a seamless solution that integrates directly into your existing workflows.

The new Workflow integration feature, as of March 2025, lets you automatically collect targeted feedback exactly when it matters most—right after your customer experiences your product or service. Here's how:

  1. First, you need to create the custom survey you want to send.
  2. Navigate to your survey creation tool.
  3. Create a new survey, ensuring it's a "custom survey" (this feature is currently only available for custom surveys as of March 2025).
  4. Design your survey questions to gather the specific feedback you need. For example, "How satisfied are you with your recent purchase?" or "Would you recommend our service to a friend?"
  5. When you reach the delivery method section, you'll see a new option: "Workflow". Select this option.
  6. Go to your workflow automation tool.
    1. Use Case: In our post-purchase scenario, you would open the workflow that triggers after an order is marked as "delivered." or service is marked as "complete".Open the contact workflow you want to integrate the survey into.
  7. Within your workflow, locate the point where you want to trigger the survey.
  8. You'll see a field where you can choose which survey to send. Select the custom survey you created in step 1. The workflow will now automatically send the selected survey to the contacts who reach this step.
  9. Double-check that all other actions in your workflow are correctly configured. Activate the workflow.

Customer feedback shouldn't just sit in spreadsheets, it should actively shape every decision you make. When feedback collection becomes effortless, you can focus on what truly matters—turning those insights into meaningful improvements.

What could your business become if every customer interaction ended with an opportunity for growth? With automated workflow surveys, you're not just collecting data—you're creating conversations that will transform your business from the inside out. So go and check it out!
