How to Use HubSpot's Remix Tool

Here's a step-by-step guide to get started:

How to remix one piece of content

  1. Navigate to Content in your HubSpot sidebar, then scroll down and click on Remix.
  2. You have two options:
    1. Repurpose Existing Content: Click Start Remix and select the content you want to breathe new life into. You can choose from blog posts, website pages, or landing pages.
    2. Start Fresh: If you have a new concept in mind, simply click Add Content and paste your text directly into the remix tool.
  3. Click the plus icon and choose from a variety of options:
    1. Image
    2. Social Post (perfect for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
    3. Blog Post
    4. SMS
    5. Landing Page
    6. Email (plain text or HTML)
    7. Audio File
  4. Depending on the content type you selected, you can further customise your remix. For example, if you chose a social post:
    1. Pick the specific social media platform you want to target (e.g., LinkedIn).
    2. Enter your desired objective for the post (e.g., drive website traffic).
  5. Click Generate to see your transformed content appear. Review it and make any necessary tweaks.
  6. Click Save to store your remixed content. You can also access it later by clicking View All Content on the right side of the screen. Here, you'll see both your active and deleted remixes.

How to remix multiple pieces of content

  1. Begin by selecting your initial piece of content, just like you normally would.
  2. Look for the EXPAND icon located in the upper right-hand corner of the starting content box.
  3. Click on it. This opens up the ability to add more source content.
  4. Click the "Add Content" button.
  5. You can now select up to six pieces of content to use as your starting point.
  6. Use Case: Imagine you're creating a blog post about "Effective Social Media Marketing Strategies." You could combine:
    1. A recent blog post you wrote on the topic.
    2. A PDF guide on social media analytics.
    3. A podcast episode discussing successful social media campaigns.
    4. A marketing brief outlining your target audience and social media goals.
    5. A persona description.
    6. A strategy document.
  7. Once you've selected your sources, the AI will analyse and synthesise the information. This comprehensive input ensures the AI has a deeper understanding of your topic, perspective, and value propositions.
  8. Review the generated remix and make any necessary edits.
