How to create a report which displays this week's expiring quotes

See which quotes are expiring in a certain timeframe along with the amount and the quote owner.

The quotes feature in HubSpot is a great tool to help your salespeople efficiently price up and share this with their customers. But, like most things, quotes don't last forever - so this Hack will show you which quotes are expiring in a given time period without a signature. This could:

  • guide meetings, where you can discuss how to approach soon-to-be expiring quotes
  • help you identify team members whose quotes frequently expire without signature
  • inform your own strategy around how to encourage some urgency when sending out quotes

1) Create a new report using the 'Quotes' object

2) Configure your chart

I've done for a bar graph displaying the quote amount and the owner.

3) Set your filters

For the use cases I've recommended in the intro, I would set two filters based on when the quote is expiring (I've selected 'This fiscal year' because of the limited data in our test portal, but in most cases you'd want to select a shorter timeframe). It's also likely you want to only focus on quotes which are expiring without being signed, so your filter needs to reflect that too.

From there, you could:

  • add to a dashboard
  • email to colleagues
