How to research companies using Breeze AI and the HubSpot Sales extension

More use cases from HubSpot's Sales extension in Chrome. Learn how you can research new companies, add them to the CRM and layer AI on top of that to get a comprehensive view of your target.

We've written a hack about how to use HubSpot's Sales Extension to view and edit company records that already exist in the CRM. This hack explores how you should use the AI feature in the Sales Extension to research new companies, add them to HubSpot and subscribe to news alerts.

Here's how you set it up:

1) Download the HubSpot Sales Chrome Extension, if you haven't already

2) On the company page you're researching and click on the Breeze AI symbol which appears on the right-hand side when you hover over the sprocket

3) Start a new chat and select 'Research company'

3) From this point, you can add the company to HubSpot if you think it's a good fit for you, and you can subscribe to news from directly within the tool. Copilot will automatically email you when it picks up any news about a company. This is a great feature if you have some big 'must win' accounts to reach out to, and want to tie your messaging to what is going on in their world at that time.

There are lots of different Chrome extensions that allow you to view company details directly from their website (and even get contact details). But this Sales Extension combines that functionality with Copilot, and when you consider the other functionality it has like viewing and editing CRM company records within Chrome, there can be a huge impact on adoption. Your team stop having to switch between screens - and in a time where our user experience expectations are really high and our time is really tight - features like this can make or break your user's relationship with your CRM.
