Assign content to a specific team and keep your assets organised with HubSpot’s partitioning tool.
Organising your content can be difficult at the best of times. Well, content across HubSpot can be partitioned so that only the right teams and users can view and edit it.
For businesses with multiple teams across different regions or complex organisational structures, this can help you to manage your portal, comply with data protection, and stay organised, all the while getting the most value out of your HubSpot portal.
Notes on Partitioning
A CMS or Marketing Hub Enterprise subscription is required to partition blog posts and pages by teams. Super admins can view all partitioned assets, regardless of to whom they’ve been assigned. Partitioned marketing content such as pages and blog posts can also be viewed by users with the “Partition by teams” permission.
Step 1: Navigate to “Settings”
In the top right-hand corner of your portal, click on the cog to view your account settings.
Step 2: Navigate to “Users & Teams”
In the left-hand column, click on “Users & Teams”. This will take you to an overview page.
Step 2: Select “Teams”
At the top of the page you’ll see a submenu. Click on “Teams”.
This will take you to a list of all your teams. If the list is empty or if you simply want to create a new team, click the “Create a team” button to the right-hand side of the page.
Note: You must have permission to create teams in order to proceed from here.
Step 3: Create your team
In the pop-up to the right-hand side of the page, use the drop-down menus to create your team.
- Give your team a name.
- If the team is part of a subteam (e.g. EMEA could be a subteam of Marketing) then assign the parent team here.
- Set primary team members and additional team members. These are the individuals who will be able to access content when it is partitioned to this team.
