We all want to boost conversions; whether it's by adjusting copy or changing CTA colour, the possibilities are endless. But have you ever thought of reducing clicks with pop-ups?
Want to capture more leads and improve your website's user experience? This guide shows you how to use HubSpot pop-up forms and CTAs to deliver a seamless download experience for your visitors.
Why use pop-ups?
Pop-ups can significantly reduce the number of clicks a visitor needs to take to access your content, especially those coming from pages other than dedicated landing pages. This streamlined approach caters to shorter attention spans and encourages quick conversions.
Method 1: CTA tool
-
Design your CTA:
- Navigate to the CTA tool in HubSpot.
- Choose a lead capture template that provides ample space for your copy.
- Customize the design to match your brand and include compelling information about the download.
2. Set up targeting:
- Go to the "Targeting" tab.
- Choose the pages where you want the pop-up CTA to appear.
- In the "Who it will be shown to" section, select "CTA clicked."
- Add the specific CTAs that should trigger the pop-up.
3. Adjust frequency:
- Set the frequency to "Repeat" so the pop-up appears every time the selected CTA is clicked.
4. Disable for small screens:
- Turn off the option to display the pop-up on small screens to avoid frustrating mobile users with non-functional CTAs.
Method 2: Form pop up
-
Create your form:
- Navigate to the forms tool in HubSpot.
- Design your form, keeping in mind that there's limited space for branding.
-
Configure targeting:
- Go to the "Targeting" tab.
- Select the pages where you want the pop-up form to appear.
- Under "Visitor information and behavior," choose "CTA clicked."
- Add the specific CTAs that should trigger the pop-up.
By strategically using pop-ups triggered by CTA clicks, you can significantly improve user experience and boost conversions.
