HubSpot Hack: HubSpot Content Agent for Blog Research & Ideas

What it does: The HubSpot Content Agent is a free AI-powered tool that helps you generate blog ideas, research topics, and even draft content.

 It factors in:

  • What’s already performing well in your HubSpot portal

  • External search insights (Google, SEMrush, etc.)

  • Brand guidelines, tone of voice and other reference materials you provide

It can also create content suggestions, image, and meta descriptions - giving your writers a strong starting point for articles.

Why it’s useful:

  • Eliminates the “blank page” problem for content teams - ideation.

  • Suggests data-driven topics likely to perform well.

  • Integrates internal and external signals to produce relevant, on-brand ideas.

  • Can be scheduled to run automatically, e.g., monthly brainstorming sessions.

How to implement it:

  1. Set up the agent:

    • Go to Breeze> Marketplace and search ‘Blog Research Agent’. To set up the agent.
    • Provide instructions and context (“prompt engineering”), e.g., target audience, country code, SEO focus (AEO/SEO), brand guidelines, PDFs, and other references.
  2. Customise its knowledge:

    • Specify what the agent can access (internal content, external sources, images, etc.)
    • Define any constraints or style preferences

  3. Run the agent:

    • Test the agent or publish it to run immediately

    • It will generate topic suggestions, reasoning for the recommendations and supporting sources

  4. Review outputs:

    • HubSpot outputs multiple topic ideas with suggested meta titles, meta descriptions and content ‘angles’

    • Review and refine content with a human editor before publishing

  5. Use for content creation:

    • Navigate to HubSpot Content > Blog > AI Suggestions

    • Use AI-generated drafts as starting points for articles
