Joe Richardson

Sales Development Representative (SDR) at BabelQuest

Fresh out of UWE Bristol with a degree in Criminology and Psychology, I’m thrilled to bring a unique perspective to the BabelQuest team. While I might be new to the world of sales, I’m certainly not new to understanding people. My degree gave me the analytical tools to read between the lines, but it was my six years in the retail trenches that taught me how to connect with customers and solve problems in real-time.

My natural competitiveness pushes me to strive to be the best for my team, whether that's in the office or on the pitch, where football and tag rugby dominate my time outside work.

About my role

As an SDR at BabelQuest, I am the frontline of our sales process, identifying and engaging with businesses that need to unlock the full potential of HubSpot. My role focuses on bridging the gap between initial interest and qualified opportunities. My assignment is to identify challenges specific to each business and ensure that every prospect we move forward with is a perfect fit for HubSpot and BabelQuest.

My Day-to-Day Tasks:

  • Executing personalised sequences via phone, email, and LinkedIn to connect with key stakeholders.
  • Conducting discovery calls to assess business needs, goals, and technical fit for our services.
  • Mapping out target accounts and identifying specific "pain points" to ensure outreach is relevant and high-value.
  • Refining my messaging and prospecting tactics based on real-time feedback and conversion data.
