Everything you Need to Know About Content Hub: Updated for 2025
13:11

Imagine a world where your content doesn't just exist—it delivers. Where every blog post, webpage, and marketing asset becomes a way to drive ROI, generate qualified leads, and build brand authority. Welcome to the era of HubSpot's Content Hub: the latest Hub that's about to rewrite the rules of content marketing.

Launched back in April 2024, we’ve now had nearly the whole of the year to play around and rate each feature - which is what we’ll share with you below. You can also watch the launch of Content Hub with Nicholas Holland below:

Why Marketing Directors Must Invest in Content Hub for Growth

In the time since Content Hub launched, some things have stayed the same - marketing is harder than ever. And as a Marketing leader, you're facing three critical challenges:

  1. Your team's productivity is bottlenecked by disconnected tools

  2. Your content ROI isn't scaling with your investment

  3. Your tech stack is becoming increasingly expensive to maintain

Here's what the data tells us:

  • 63% of marketing leaders report struggling with technology integration.

  • High-performing marketing teams are 2.7x more likely to have a fully integrated tech stack.

  • Organisations with a high degree of connectivity between their applications see productivity gains of 20-25%?

It's time to take control. HubSpot's Content Hub offers a great solution, consolidating your essential marketing tools into a single, powerful platform.

What is HubSpot's Content Hub?

Forget everything you thought you knew about content marketing. HubSpot's Content Hub has changed everything. It's a comprehensive platform that:

  • Unifies content creation, optimisation, and distribution

  • Provides AI-powered insights and recommendations

  • Breaks down silos between marketing, sales, and customer service

  • Turns your content strategy from a scattered approach to a synchronised dream

What is Included in HubSpot's Content Hub? [And What Do We Think?]

1. Brand Voice

HubSpot's Brand Voice feature is like having a digital clone of your marketing team's communication style. It ensures every piece of content—whether created by human or AI—sounds uniquely, unmistakably you.

  • AI that mimics your brand's personality

  • Consistent tone across all content touch points

  • Integrated into Content Assistant and Blog Generator

Brand voice content hub

Our opinion: The brand voice tool is great for getting a general feel for your tone of voice and making sure all your content sounds relatively similar. It’s not as in depth as other tools which allows you to add a descriptive prompt but it is comprehensive enough to stop you from sounding disconnected across assets.

Over the years it’s been built out even further, for example it now includes the option for inclusivity preferences. This helps you narrow down on gender specific pronouns, religious references and more. Another helpful aspect is being able to change your tone of voice across channels because no one sounds the same on a whitepaper download page as they do on LinkedIn!

2. AI Blog Post Generator

The blog post generator turns content creation from a marathon into a sprint. Enter a topic, and watch as AI generates:

  • Intelligent blog outlines

  • Fully drafted posts optimised for search

  • A first draft that captures your strategic essence

This tool is a time-saver, but beware! While it generates text, it can't replace the human touch. Proofread and edit to ensure every word aligns with your intentions.

Our opinion: After using this for nearly a year we are still of the same opinion that this cannot entirely replace a human but it is great for generating a framework, doing the research and inspiring your own writing. You still need to edit and add your own personal experiences, but on the whole it still saves you time.

Again this tool has evolved over the year and now includes some really helpful aspects, such as the ability to tailor the content to specific ICP’s that you’ve previously created. Plus everything, at every stage is editable - meaning you can tailor the blog outline and talking points as much as you want!

3. Multilingual AI Translations

Content Hub's AI translation tool, powered by DeepL, lets you effortlessly translate website content with human-like fluency. Say goodbye to awkward phrasing and hello to natural, contextually relevant translations that truly capture your brand's voice – no matter the language.

Our opinion: We’ve used this in various languages and we think it’s great 90% of the time, and like any AI generated content it still requires a proof-read. Don’t let this dissuade you though, it’ll cut your translation costs down plus save your team a ton of work.

4. Content Remix

One piece of content. Infinite possibilities.

Transform a single blog into:

  • Social media posts

  • Ad copy

  • Emails

  • Landing pages

  • Audio content

  • Images

    content hub content remix

Our opinion: This tool has saved us hours of work and is a great starting point when creating campaigns. Again, we have found that we still need to edit each asset to fit our objective more thoroughly but it’s a game changer when you have writer's block.

5. AI Image Generation

Imagine the perfect image and let AI bring it to life. Content Hub's AI Image Generation tool lets you create custom visuals right inside HubSpot.

  • Describe your vision

  • Get an instant visual

  • Select a style and format

content hub image ai

Our opinion: This tool has been spot on sometimes, and a bit questionable at other times. We’ve learnt you need to be very specific about what you’re looking for to generate the most accurate result. But, it’s great to have a unique image that you won’t find elsewhere.

6. Member Blogs

Want to create exclusive content for VIPs?

Member blogs let you lock premium blog content behind a velvet rope, granting access only to select individuals or groups. Choose how you want to manage access:

  • Grant access to specific contacts from your HubSpot lists, just like with Memberships.

  • Allow users to unlock content by registering themselves, building your audience and providing a valuable incentive for sign-ups.

With member blogs, you can create a tiered content strategy, offering exclusive insights and building deeper relationships with your most engaged audience.

Our opinion: This has been a valuable addition to the HubSpot suite of tools and truly gives organisations the ability to build out a community.

7. Blog Post Narration

Give your blog posts a voice.

With the Blog Post Narration tool, transform your written content into engaging audio experiences. Embed audio versions of your blog posts directly within your content, catering to auditory learners and those who prefer on-the-go consumption.

content hub narration

Our opinion: Again, this is another feature we can’t stop raving about. Having the ability to add audio to a blog truly helps amplify the content to those who prefer to listen rather than read. We’re hoping to see some more diversity in the AI voices but it does the job really well for now!

8. Podcasting

Launch your podcasting empire – right from HubSpot!

The new Podcasts feature turns HubSpot into your podcasting command center. Create, host, and distribute your audio content to all the major platforms, including Apple Podcasts and Spotify, without ever leaving the HubSpot ecosystem.

You can:

  • Upload your own audio

  • Leverage the power of AI to generate high-quality audio content directly within HubSpot

Our opinion: If you’re starting out in your podcast journey, this is the place to go. Our only gripe so far is you can’t transfer over an existing podcast which makes this tool redundant if you’ve already committed to a podcast elsewhere.

9. AI Website Generation

Building a website? Skip the coding and endless design tweaks.

HubSpot's AI Website Generator crafts a custom website for your business in minutes. Just answer a few simple prompts about your needs and preferences, and watch as AI builds your online presence like magic.

Perfect for small businesses and startups, this tool takes the hassle out of website creation. Refine the AI-generated design with easy-to-use tools, and launch your stunning new website with ease.

Our opinion: Whilst we haven’t had much need to use this feature with our clients, we have played around in our test portal and discovered this is a good, basic tool for those starting off. It may not be  an option for people looking for sophisticated, custom or complex sites, but it’s perfect for smaller businesses.

HubSpot Content Hub Common FAQs

How long would it take to get trained on Content Hub?

HubSpot’s user interface is consistent across all hubs making it exceptionally easy to train your team on using the tools. If they’re comfortable with Marketing Hub, they’ll learn Content Hub quickly. We asked our Marketing team for their advice:

Make sure you do the prep work. With so many new tools in Content Hub using AI, it’s important that the business recognises its own standpoint on AI use and produces guidelines to ensure consistency. And keep experimenting, find out what works best for you - you might find the content remix doesn’t quite hit the mark for your social posts. And that’s okay. But keep playing around.”

How is Content Hub different from CMS Hub?

HubSpot is streamlining its offerings by bringing CMS Hub into the Content Hub family. This means you get all the great website-building tools you're used to from CMS Hub, plus a whole range of extra features to help you create and manage all kinds of content.

Here's the breakdown:

  • CMS Hub (now part of Content Hub): Provides the core functionality for creating and managing your website. Think website pages, blog hosting, and basic content organisation.

  • Content Hub: Encompasses all the features of CMS Hub plus a whole lot more. It brings together website management with advanced content marketing tools, AI-powered features, and expanded capabilities like podcasting and content repurposing.

If you're currently using CMS Hub, think of this as a major upgrade. You'll still have all of the great website management tools you're used to, but now you'll have access to a whole suite of new features to help you create, optimise, and distribute amazing content across all channels.

Which tools are moving from other Hubs into Content Hub?

HubSpot is always evolving to better serve your needs. As part of this evolution, some features are being shuffled around. Here's the lowdown:

  • Moving from Marketing Hub to Content Hub:

    • Blogs

    • Landing Pages

    • Adaptive Testing

  • Moving from Service Hub to Content Hub:

    • Memberships (with one access group)

These changes are mostly about improving organisation and making things easier to find. If you're an existing customer, you likely won't notice much difference. All the features you love will still be there.

What's the HubSpot for Marketers Bundle?

The HubSpot for Marketers Bundle gives you both Marketing Hub and Content Hub for a lower price than buying them separately. This means you get all the tools you need for attracting leads and creating great content, all in one place.

Content marketing is changing fast, and HubSpot wants to make sure its customers have the best tools to succeed. By combining Marketing Hub and Content Hub, they're making it easier for marketers to keep up with the latest trends and get the most out of their content.
